Annual mean temperature (TM)

It is defined as the annual mean value of the daily mean temperatures (TM). The evolution of TM anomaly (ATM, difference between the annual value of TM and the mean value of TM in the reference period 1981-2010) during the period 1959-2020 is shown for the Pyrenees, for 4 areas of the Massif (Northern Pyrenees, Southern Pyrenees, Mediterranean Pyrenees and Atlantic Pyrenees) and for each of the 12 TM series analyzed. The unit of measurement is degree Celsius (°C).

The annual mean of  TM for the Pyrenees is obtained from the annual TM values ​​of 12 representative series of the Pyrenees massif (areas at different altitudes and on all slopes: north, south, east or Mediterranean and west or Atlantic), while the mean value of TM for the 4 zones of the Massif is obtained from the annual TM values ​​of the representative series located in each zone.
