Sprouting of Mountain pine (Pinus uncinata)
The indicator is the number of the week of the year in which the bud sprouting of the Mountain pine (Pinus uncinata) is observed.
It is calculated from 12 plots of 36 trees each, that is, 432 individuals (the location of the plots is shown on the map; it is recommended to enlarge the map for greater detail). In each plot, the number of the week of the year in which 90% of the trees have already sprouted is obtained; the mean value for the Pyrenees is obtained from the value obtained in the 12 plots studied. Phenological observations of the mountain pine began in 2013.
The evolution of the indicator for the period 2013-2019 is shown (solid line). The shaded area around the solid line indicates the confidence interval that may vary each year.

Evolution of the mean value of sprouting date (week of the year) of Mountain pine in the Pyrenees for the period 2013-2020.
The mean value of the indicator in the 8 years of observations is week 26,6 of the year (between weeks 26 and 27 of the year), with a tendency to advance the bud sprouting date in this same period (more years of observations are needed to obtain a clear and robust trend).
